Everton are close to wrapping up a deal to sign Standard Liege striker Dieumerci Mbokani according to reports this morning. David Moyes has been looking to strengthen his forward line for some time with Mbokani mentioned a few times in the last few days as one possible target for the Goodison Park outfit, now the Italian media have gone one step further by claiming that Mbokani is now very close to actually agreeing a deal.
Mbokani has appeared for DR Congo 14 times scoring eight goals and for his club has found the net 34 times in 79 outings, he is 24 years of age and over 6ft tall, no fee has been mentioned as of yet but it is not thought he will cost too much which no doubt would suit David Moyes and the Everton.
David Moyes is doing his utmost it now seems to avoid being caught out like he was last season when he failed top bring in a whole host of players, something he complained about at the time. Everton have already been mentioned a few times over the last few days in regards to players that have apparently agreed to join the Liverpool based club.
