Toronto FC want Darren Huckerby to join the in the MLS next season after the 32 year old was told by Glenn Roeder last week that he was no longer required at Norwich City.

The Canadian team are only in their second season in the MLS and are looking to aim for the play-offs this year. Their coach John Carver admitted that Huckerby was on their wish-list.

In an ongoing dispute between the Levante players and the board, the team have finally decided to carry out their threats of strike action. The team will travel to Madrid for the final game of the season, which has seen Levante finish rock bottom of La Liga,

Brazilian full-backs Cafu and Serginho have announced that they are leaving AC Milan at the end of the season. Double World Cup winner Cafu is yet to decide whether to retire or not, but the 37-year-old has confirmed his Milan exit.

"I have had five marvelous years in which I have managed to win everything," Cafu told Milan Channel.

The African Champios League quarter final groups were announced today after the draw was held at the CAF headquarters in Gabalaya in Cairo. Egyptian giants and arch-rivals Zamalek and Ahli were drawn in the same group, along with Ivorian ASEC Memosas.

The underdog of the group, Dynamos Harari (Zimbabwe) will probably play a decisive part in deciding the two team advancing to the semi-final.

The former Liverpool striker has paased a late fitness test and has been included in the Cardiff squad for the FA Cup Final.

He hasn't played since the end of last year and has undergone surgery on a hip problem, but Cardiff manager Dave Jones has confirmed he is in the 18-man squad, but refused to say whether he would start the game.

Spanish giants Barcelona have signed a five-year deal with the US MLS League, which has tied them to play in America during the next five years.

"If you want to be a global brand, you have to be in the United States," said FC Barcelona vice chairman Ferran Soriano, the club's executive responsible for marketing. "We want to have a permanent presence here, and maybe that permanent presence will mean a team here someday."

Nwankwo Kanu scored a the only goal for Portsmouth to beat Cardiff 1-0 and win the FA Cup final for the first time since 1939.

The Nigerian striker punished a fumble by Cardiff goalkeeper Peter Enckelman in the 37th minute of the 127th FA Cup final to give manager Harry Redknapp his first major trophy in 25 years of coaching.

A spokesman for 5-time African champions Al-Ahli announced on Friday that Portuguese coach Manuel Jose decided to stay with Ahli after a meeting with club's president Hassan Hamdi.

"The club's board will do its best to fulfill Jose's demands of strengthening Ahli squad," the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity said, "Jose will fly to Portugal for his three-week yearly vacation before returning to Egypt to guide Ahli in their Champions League campaign."

It has finally been confirmed that Man City will get the Fair Play entry to the UEFA Cup by virtue of finishing just above Fulham, despite Richard Dunne's sending off on the last day off the season.

They actually finished sixth in the English Fair Play standings but luckily the five teams above them had already qualified for Europe by other means.
