The Arsenal winger Theo Walcott scored a great goal in the Gunners 5-3 win over neighbours Chelsea yesterday, and he believes that Arsene Wenger’s team are playing so well that they could beat absolutely anyone right now.
John Terry gave Chelsea a 2-1 lead on the stroke of half-time, but Santos and Walcott quickly reversed the positions in the second half before Van Persie hit another two to give Arsenal a convincing victory.
Walcott was on a high after the game and said: “We’re just enjoying our football, our run is great now and we’re just going to keep on continuing that,”
“We don’t look too far ahead, we keep it in the camp and everyone is buzzing at the moment.
“We’re just going to keep trying to win as many games as we can. We don’t want to say where we’re going to finish at the end of the season but the way we’re playing at this moment in time we believe we can beat anyone.”
A good win over Marseille in midweek will see the Gunners qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League, and will allow them to concentrate on amassing more points on their way back to the Top Four.
If they can play like that every week, Arsenal fans are cetainly set for an entertaining season…..
