The Arsenal midfielder Kolo Toure admits that it will be difficult to turn around the Champions League semi-final against Man Utd, but he believes that his team can beat anyone at the Emirates, so they can approach the return leg with confidence.
Man Utd haven’t lost a Champions League game against anyone in years, but Arsenal can also look at their home record in the competition this season. They have scored 13 goals without reply, and if they can maintain that record against the European Champions, then they can go on and make the Final in Rome.
“We have to win the second leg, and it is going to be really tight, but we know we can beat any team at Emirates,” Toure said.
“United are a really strong team, they are used to playing in the Champions League as they won it last season and still have a lot of the same strong players. We will have to be on the top of our game to win against them but we can score two goals at Emirates, we just need to defend better.
“We have made some good clean sheets at home already, and beat Manchester there earlier in the season. That can give us some belief.”
“We are not far away,” he said. “We put Manchester under pressure, but just did not have the decisive pass to create the chance to make the goal.
“When you play against a team like Manchester United, with all the big players they have and the big money they have spent, it is always really tight. We know we are still learning a lot, so now we just need to play better and the second leg is going to be like a Final for us.
“We will give everything, that is for sure.”

ARSEnal could not beat a bag of potatoes nevermind the worlds greatest football team Manchester United
Hopefully, Wenger will learn his lessons, the champion league is not for kids. If he does not buy three or four experienced players, the situation will remain the same next season. With a blend of experience players at the back, midfield and at least one attacker, they can compete for honours next year otherwise, it will still be the same situation. Chelsea with their bottomles wealth will add more players while some superstars (with chelsea) will sit in the stands and still collect huge pay packets.
