It is no secret that the Tottenham keeper Heurelho Gomes is on his way out of White Hart Lane, and it is also no secret that Spurs have been keeping a close eye on Udinese keeper Zeljko Brkic in recent weeks, and according to reports in Italy today a swap deal could be on the cards.
Brkic, 25, is on the books of Udinese in Serie A, but he is currently on loan at Siena. He has made seven appearances so far this season for Siena, and kept three clean sheets conceding just the four goals including a clean sheet yesterday at high flying Cagliari.
Gomes has been linked with a move back to Brazil with Corinthians, but Spurs are so keen on Brkic they are trying to persuade their former number one to move to Italy.
It is well known that Spurs have had the Serbian shot stopper, capped five times by his country, watched on a number of occasions and the reports in Italy say they could make a move as soon as January.
