Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is planning a £12m double bid for Blackburn’s Chris Samba and winger Junior Hoilett, according to the Daily Mirror.
Both Hoilett and Samba have been previously linked with Tottenham and while Harry Redknapp has stated that he is on the lookout for that “special player” it is still thought that if there was any possibility that he could land either of the Blackburn duo that he would make an attempt to do so.
Hoilett is a very exciting player and Samba is turning in to a formidable defender, both players are quality and it is no surprise to see one of the Premierships better clubs interested in them, however the £12 Million for the pair quoted by The Mirror, does look on the low side.
It should also be taken on board that Blackburn boss Steve Kean has repeatedly stated that he will be buying and not selling, though given the state of Blackburn’s finances he may find that he has no control over the final decision of whether to sell or not.
If this Mirror article is accurate then Spurs will have landed on their feet if they manage to land the pair for such a low figure.
