The brilliant West Ham midfielder Scott Parker, who won the PFA Player-of-the-Year despite playing for the relegated Hammers, is certain to leave Upton Park this summer rather than play on in the second tier.
But although there are a host of Premiership clubs that love his battling qualities and would love to have Parker in their side, it seems that Tottenham’s Harry Redknapp will have no problem persuading the 30 year-old that his future lies at White Hart Lane.
Parker has made it clear that he has no intention of moving away from London where his family are very happy. He said: “The way my personality is, stability is crucial to my happiness and that helps me perform at my best.
“When everything is happy outside of football, like my kids enjoying school and my wife Carly being happy, then I just go and play and the past four years have been exactly like that at West Ham.
“It has been a stressful time fighting relegation battles the last couple of years, but I think I have thrived and become a better player as a result of that – and I’ve certainly had some great times here, too.
“I’ve been at West Ham for a few years now and loved every minute of it. The fans have taken to me so well and it’s a great club – it would be a massive blow if they went down.”
So now that it is confirmed that the Hammers are going down, there is only one place we can expect to see Parker next season – White Hart Lane.

He is the kind of player that Spurs absolutely need next also to some proper strikers and a reliable keeper.
I hope he will join the club.
He didn’t win PFA Player of the year. He won Football writers player of the year. Do your research next time.
