It seemed certain that the West Ham midfielder Scott Parker would be joining Tottenham today, but it seems that Harry Redknapp is refusing to allow Jake Livermore to move to Upton Park as part of the agreement.
The talks have hit a stalemate, with both West Ham and Tottenham refusing to budge, and now it is being reported that Redknapp is considering bringing the ex-Man Utd midfielder Owen Hargreaves to White Hart Lane instead.
Hargreaves has already passed a medical at West Bromwich Albion, but the ex-England star still harbours hopes of regaining his place in Fabio Capello’s team and is holding out for a move to a more prestigious team, and Tottenham could fit the bill.

All Premiership teams need to register their final squads by Friday, so Hargreaves (and Tottenham) will have to make a decision quickly. Redknapp is no mug and is aware that if Hargreaves really is back to full fitness he could be a brilliant addition to the Spurs team, but his mental condition would have to be taken on trust.
