Tevez – Fergie blamed me for Liverpool defeat!

The ex-Man Utd striker Carlos Tevez has been discussing why he refused to stay at Old Trafford, and he says that Alex Ferguson changed his attitude to him in the second year of his loan.

“If I play for Manchester City I don’t think the United fans will feel I am a traitor,” he told The People.

“They have to remember that at least as far as I know I have been thrown out of the club and I have to study the best offers available.

“[Leaving] came about because I could not stand my sporting situation at Manchester United any longer.

“My first year was good in all senses. I played in the games and felt respected by the coach but in my second year some strange things happened that I still do not understand.

“After the game at Old Trafford where Liverpool beat us [4-1, in March], Ferguson ignored me almost as if I was to blame for the defeat when really Liverpool dominated us all over the pitch.

“After that the fans called for me to be in the team but he never took the advice on board because he always knows best.

“I gave everything for Manchester United and people know that. For that reason I don’t deserve the way things have ended up.”

Tevez was definitely left out of all the big games towards the end. Do you think that Ferguson just didn’t like him?

  5. Himanshu Sharma says:

Chelsea can offer champions league…..funny hahaha

  6. Lfc fan2 says:

He didnt come to liverpool because he didnt want to upset utd fans by doing that. So he goes to city lol nothing to do with the money then

  7. maximus says:

trust me…after one season, tevez will end up in liverpool. going directly from manu to liverpool is disrespectful to his current fans and this shows his class. i like this guy…

  8. bertie says:

Blimey Tevez really doesn’t know when to shut his mouth does he. The fans won’t care when he comes back in whatever coloured shirt because he will have managed to alienate all the ones that remained supportive of him over the last week or two.

Go to city go to chelsea go to Liverpool. Who cares.

And you did not get thrown out. You just don’t score enough goals to warrant a first team slot all the time. Man U offered the full amount agreed when the loan started but you don’t want it because you want to play more. Fair enough. Go to a lesser side where you might get more games then, but don’t say you’ve been thrown out.

Oh and shut up now please. No-one likes a whiner

  9. rosy says:

    Oh! just shut up!!!

  10. Nico says:

Tevez should come to liverpool to get back at the smug united fans thinking signing Owen bothers us! Now that would be brilliant!

  11. The poor poor lad and now he will have to suffer and collect his 900.000pounds a week at city i hope he can get by mayb we should all have a collection to help him get along.and i wonder why he joined city?

  12. Fergie's cracking up.... says:

Ronaldo and Tevez out….Valencia and Owen in….I am almost out of dry trousers. What next Vidic for Bramble?

  13. Come back lad and we can drink wiskey together and you can get a red wiskey nose like mine to go with your sexy face.and why did you join city surely its wasnt nothing to do with the 3 or 4 hundred thousand a week.

  14. nathan says:

The only thing that can be said with certainty in this situation is that Tevez offers more of an all round threat than Owen who presents no threat from outside the box and little threat in the air. His touch is poor and his game was based on pace which is no longer there. United are weaker for the loss of Tevez and weaker still for the loss of Ronaldo. If Liverpool keep their key players and strengthen in weak areas, – Right back, second choice central striker and wing then they will push United even harder this year.

  15. EL NINO says:

It’s ok Tevez…shit happens…The most important thing is you gave your best..Even me being a Liverpool fan would give you all the respect..I guess Fergie has not been kicked in his balls for a long time and that’s what Liverpool did last season..All this while there was no Manager that can stand up and speak to him in his face and Rafa has done that..Not only in the media but on THE PITCH AS WELL..HE FEELS THREATEN…LETS C WHAT HAPPENS COMING SEASON..ANYWAY ALL THE BEST TO YOU AND PLS GET ARGENTINA QUALIFIED FOR THE WORLD CUP!

  16. paulfc says:

Fergusons a disgrace, a spoilt brat, whom rumour has it is going behind Sam Allardyce’s back with many young curly haired Brazilian boys!

  17. Topredman says:

I wouldn’t have put it past Fergie to have acted the way Tevez has said. Losing to Liverpool at home, by such a big margin, must have been like pouring acid into an open wound. If he blamed Tevez for the defeat he was wrong as the whole Man U team were made to look average and outplayed in every single position. From Man U’s point of view, Tevez will be a great loss. With Ronaldo going, it leaves an ageing team with little threat in any position with the exception of Rooney. I say good luck to you Carlos and let’s hope City let you play every game.

  18. mikeman says:

Fergie definitley fell out with Tevez, why else would he spend £32 million on Berbatov? Maybe Fergie thought Tevez would be happy to be an impact sub, how wrong he was. With nancy boy Ronaldo gone it will be great for England as Rooney will play in his strongest position with Berbatov as his partner & Valencia on the wing.
It leaves the squad a bit light up front but still early days yet, however if Fergie signs a big name striker like Eto’ then Rooney will be fuming and maybe hand in a transfer request.

  19. Dan Kemoto PePe says:

hehehehehe…Nancy Boy Ronaldo! LoL LoL LoL!!!!!Next season will be dem hot!!!!Nway, Tevez should go to LFC and play along with his blood brother Mushyrano… So that the red nose (SAF) will increase his grudge index toward Boss Benitez.. :)
