Torino striker David Di Michele has failed to live up to expectations since his arrival from Torino on loan, having not scored since his 2nd game with the team.
Now the Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola has given the 33 year old striker the green light to go back to Torino, and is weighing his option to bring in a replacement.
Fiorentina's Giampaolo Pazzini was Zola's preferred target, but the news that he has already been sold to Sampdoria made Zola switch his focus to Brescia's Ugandan-German 19 year old Savio Nsereko, who has been recommended by the Hammers technical director Gianluca Nani.
However, Zola is reportedly short on cash, and has announced he will be considering bids for all his senior strikers in order raise the necessary funds.
