The home side has collected 28 points (from 17 games) so far, which is as many points as Chicago collected from the same number of games. However, the Americans always like this East/West group thing in which all teams still get to play each other, so it’s 2nd on the Western conference vs top of the Eastern Conference, which should be exciting.
It should also be exciting as both sides have been on an equally good roll of late, so it should be quite close.
However, I still see the home side having the better from and greater consistency.
Apart from their friendly loss to Chelsea, Seattle have been on a 4 games winning streak (all competitions) and have not lost in 7 competitive games. In fact they lost only once in their last 14 competitive games, but the problem is they drew half of them, and this could very well be another draw for them.
Chicago won 3 of their last 4 in all competitions, but are 4-1-5 from their last 10 competitive games, so I wouldn’t trust them too much even if they do appear to have picked up of late. My problem with them is that all 3 wins they produced in their last 4 were against sides that are currently in the bottom half of their respective conferences, while coming against the only side in the top half thy have played in the last 4 (Columbus) they only managed a draw, and it was in Chicago.
Before those they lost to both Wilmington Hammerheads and Tigres UANL in the Super Liga, so that’s why I think Chicago are not too reliable and probably won’t stay atop of their conference for long.
Chicago also lost 2 of their last 4 on the road, so another one to consider when making up your mind on tonight’s game.
Seattle won their last 4 home games, and 6 of the last 9 home games, with the other 3 being draws, so they are a very good side at home, and are worth backing, especially at odds of 2.17 w/ Pinnacle
Seattle win @ 2.17 w/ Pinnacle
