Now Man City intend to fine Kolo Toure over drugs ban

The Man City manager Roberto Mancini is already embroiled in the fight with Carlos Tevez over his massive fine of four weeks wages over his alleged breach of contract, but now it seems that Kolo Toure is now going to be charged over his six-month drugs ban.

Man City intend to try and show that the ex-Arsenal star Toure made himself intentionally unavailable for the side when he voluntarily took his wifes slimming pills, and are contesting the six months wages paid to him during his ban.

Touré’s agent, Saif Rubie, said: “Kolo is disappointed that the club have decided to take this stance and he will contest any planned action against him. However, he will continue to give his all, as always, for Roberto Mancini and the team in their quest for honours this season.”

Although Toure played for Man City in last night’s Carling Cup win over Wolves, since his ban he has been displaced in the first-team by Joleon Lescott and just this week admitted that he would love to move to the newly-rich Paris St Germain.
