Newcastle want £8 Million Tottenham ace to strengthen their forward line

Newcastle are in for the hunt for a striker to partner Demba Ba and are rumoured to be looking at experienced striker Jermaine Defoe.

Jermaine Defoe is reportedly considering his options at White Hart Lane and has been subject of reported interest from QPR in recent days however Newcastle have emerged as favourites to sign the England striker if he decides to leave Tottenham once again.

With Emmanuel Adebayor and Rafael Van Der Vaart forming a potent strike line, Defoe has not started as many games as he would like and although Manager Harry Redknapp considers Defoe an important player, its thought that he would not stand in Defoe’s way if he decides to leave to pursue other alternatives.

Defoe is currently valued by the North London club at around £8 million and Alan Pardew is known to be keen to add another striker to his squad as they try and maintain their 3rd position in the league.

As a Spurs fan where do you get the notion that JD is only worth £8m or that he is for sale.

Given the fact that Crouch who isn’t even half the player Defoe is went for £10m, Defoe won’t be sold for less than £15m. Chances of him wanting to move to Newcastle are zero.

spurs can’t afford to lose Defoe,I know he’s too stupid and lazy to stay onside most of the time but he’s a predator with 2 good feet and real pace over 10 yard, ideal to bring on late against tiring defences or when the opposition are pressing.
