Checking through some Arsenal forums this evening, reading some blog posts and even checking with the bookies and one could be mistaken for thinking that a meltdown is occurring at the Emirates.
Talk is now about Arsenal fighting to stay in the top 4 which to us is rather silly, a quick look at the table shows that.
For starters Arsenal are six points ahead of 5th placed Spurs and to put that in perspective we are just 7pts behind Man Utd therefore if one follows logic there is as much chance of Arsenal falling to 5th as there is of them catching Man Utd.
There has been talk in some blogs that Wenger’s job could be in danger if they fail to win a trophy this season.
Again that is just silly talk, short of a real meltdown at Arsenal, Wenger will only ever leave when he decides.
Of course there has been criticism of Wengers transfer policy but the truth is that it has been serious injuries to key players that have undermined Arsenal’s season and not Wengers failure to pay for an overpriced player in the transfer window.
All this talk today will change if Arsenal get a result against Liverpool which is very possible and therefore the gloom merchants should maybe hold fire for a few more days before they starting calling for the coaches head and having a pop at their own players.

Arsenal are third in the table and they didn`t get there just by luck .vanPesie has been out most of the season and bearing in mind that Walctt is virtually a non starter and Djouruo hasn`t paticipated either the squad availale for the games against Villa, United, Chelsea and Liverpool is no different to the one that got us to third place. So, how have we apparently lost our way and more importantly how do we get back into our winning ways?
I`ve suggested before that the selection is a bit of a lottery, it`s just become a fun game to guess the starting eleven each week and if the fans don`t have confidence it must affect the players also.
The term `meltdown` is being used and this is quite possibly our problem. We are relying on hype to keep us going but the underlying truth is we don`t have the troops and this lot are running out of steam. What ever the reason, whether it`s lack of money, stubborness, poor planning or wrong policy
there is nothing more that can be done until next season other than trench warfare.
Injury is part of the game. Ofcourse he should get rid of injury prone players pls.
Finally the voice of reason. I am sooo tired of so-called Gunners fans who hit the panic button at every opportunity. All the more reason to thankful we have a steady hand at the helm in Arsene Wenger.
