Man Utd are already qualified (the H2H vs CSKA is in United’s favour), but they want to win only to guarantee 1st spot in order to avoid other groups toppers. In other words, this is a semi-official/semi-friendly game for Sir Alex’ men, and they will try to win with minimum effort.
 
The visitors know they’re already out, and have little chance to make it even to the UEFA Cup, with CSKA playing hosts to Wolfsburg, so the Russians are likely to collect 3 more points.
 
Although in the football world you should never lose hope until it’s official and numerically impossible for you to advance, I believe the Turks are coming to Old Trafford to play only for their pride (and a little enjoyment) with no real motive to go out for a win.
 
Naturally I don’t want to be betting on United at 1.40 (BlueSQ). Not that it’s not a banker (it is IMHO) but we –small punters- are always greedy and search for higher odds. However, for big rollers I believe 1.40 on the home win is more than enough.
 
For me, I would be interested in United to keep a clean sheet as well. The visitors have only netted once in their previous 4 games, and have just consumed a lot of energy on the weekend, beating bitter rivals Fenerbahce by 3-0. Now although this appears to be a great result (and it is), showing Besiktas are probably on form, I suspect it also reflects their belief that it’s all over for them in the CL.
 
Furthermore, Besiktas kept clean sheets in all 4 last domestic fixtures. Along with 2 CL fixtures, these sum up to 5 clean sheets in 6 games, so they’re not likely to concede much either, and with United settling for a mere win I would also be interested in the under 2.05 goals option.
 
P.S. Feel free to “combine” the above options if you like. United win-to-nil comes to mind, as well as the correct scores of 1-0 and 2-0/
