Man Utd now MASSIVE favourites to get Owen

Since our earlier story about Michael Owen it seems that the bookies are in agreement and Man Utd are now massive odds on to get the former Liverpool legend.

His price with Skybet is just 1/3 with Everton 2nd favs at 13/2 and Villa a distant 3rd at 14/1 and Liverpool at 16s.

Why is this significant?

When do you ever see bookies get it it wrong? Very rarely thats when and if a bookie has a price that low for a player to go to a club they usually get it right,

It also tells us that some people have been putting some serious money on Owen going to Man Utd

The next few days will show if the bookies have got this one right.

what do you mean, you say Man Utd now MASSIVE favourites to get Owen in the headline but in the story you say, it seems that the bookies are in agreement and Man Utd are not massive odds on to get the former Liverpool legend

Hope this is true as a United fan.

It will happen! I was told earlier that Owen has agreed a deal based on a pay as you play deal with utd willing to waver a percentage of image rights as part of the deal. My source informs me that a news conference has been pencilled in for tommorrow afternoon providing he passes the medical in the morning!

I really hope this happens. Michael Owen will get plenty of chances to score at Old trafford and everyone knows that given the chances the guy knows how to put the ball in the back of the net. A great move for both player and Man Utd. I think playing for the greatest club in the world will give Owen the confidence he needs for a new lease of life. Rooney and Owen together… awesome. Great for England too.

If this is true its great news. Michael Owen if…..Fit, is still 1 of the best strikers in the world…i’ve never been lover of liverpool but he was my favourite player during his time there….He’ll score tons of goals.

Haha, what the hell has happened to United? From Ronaldo to Tevez to Aguero to Benzema to Ribery to OWEN? Hahaha! Rofl! Pathetic. Owen should of retired centuries ago! He’s the definition of a has-been. I have no idea why he still gets England games. He has no pace, he’s injury prone, has a bad first touch, is old, lost his stamina…jeeeeeeeeesuss…The guy’s past it. He’s in denial if he thinks he’s still good enough. That said, I hope United sign him. Chelsea are bringing it back home for sure if they do!

    EDITOR – it’s ‘that’s’ not “thats”…
