It is being reported this morning that the Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is chasing yet another Uruguayan international player after signing Luis Suarez in January and Sebastien Coates this summer.
The latest target is the attacking midfielder (primarily on the left wing) Gaston Ramirez, who is currently playing in Serie A with Bologna. The 20 year-old only made his debut in Serie A last September but his performances in Italy brought him to the attention of the Uruguayan boss Óscar Tabárez who subsequently picked Ramirez for the World Cup last summer.

According to this morning’s Sun, Ramirez could be available for just 10m GBP this summer although it was reported that both Juventus and Manchester City had made advances for him during the summer transfer window.
Kenny Dalglish will be hoping that the prospect of playing with his fellow countrymen at Anfield could persuade the young Uruguayan to ignore other offers and further his career at Liverpool, although there is bound to be competition for such a talented youngster.
