Liverpool’s midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is almost a certain Blackpool player starting today, after The Tangerines agreed on terms with the Merseyside club to take the midfielder under their wing until the end of the season.
Shelvey joined Liverpool in 2010 and marked 21 appearances for the club since then, but he’s not really what you’d call a favourite of manager Kenny Dalglish and that’s why they decided to let him go on loan until the player can gather some experience and grow into a better footballer.

The 19 year-old Englishman has made his first appearance for England’s national U21 squad in 2011 under Stuart Pearce, and he gathered another call-up since. He’s still eligible to play for Noel Blake’s U-19 squad where he has gathered 4 appearances and 3 goals since his first game in 2010.
Shelvey joined Liverpool from Charlton Athletic where he proved his worth by scoring 8 goals in 49 appearances for the club in a total of 3 seasons.
Although still very young, Shelvey will have to step up the pace if he wants manager Kenny Dalglish to take him seriously and start giving him playing time at the club. With Liverpool now going through such a rough time the player will have to work hard at Blackpool to convince manager Dalglish to take him seriously.
