Liverpool are interested in signing two Udinese midfielders, but as usual Rafael Benitez is trying to get their prices down. A report on Channel4 said: Liverpool are said to be targeting Udinese duo Gokhan Inler and Gaetano D’Agostino, but are concerned at the price-tags.
While the Daily Mail reports that Rafa Benitez is very interested in Swiss midfielder Inler, Italian newspapers suggest teammate D’Agostino is also on his shopping list.
The problem in both cases is the price-tag that Udinese have slapped on to the two players.
The Friulani are said to be asking for around £18m to part with 25-year-old Inler, whereas Liverpool are only prepared to pay £10m.
Similarly, Italian international D’Agostino has been valued at around £14.5m, but talks with Juventus have collapsed because of the fee.
It would not be the first time that Inler has been heavily linked with a Premier League switch, as he was targeted by Arsenal last season.
Could Benitez be looking at replacements for Alonso and Mascherano?

If they r not meant to be replacements for mascherano and alonso , then he must be still toying with the idea of playing ringa ringa roses with the squad.
Remember Rafa lost the title for us.
If he is after one or both of these guys then yes he’s looking for a replacement. Hopefully a replacement for Lucas but can’t see it. Neither of these are a patch on what we’ve got and i don’t believe for a second that he would consider losing either world class midfielder and replacing with one of these guys. He’s worked so hard getting us this close. If we we’re talking about Yaya Toure or Marcos Senna or especially Van Der Vaart i’d see the point.

benitez should either get the best players from italian teams (only a handfull decent) or else look elsewhere.
