Joe Cole wants to dump Liverpool for Lille.

Liverpool’s loaned-out player Joe Cole is vehement that the next move for him is to join Lille on a permanent basis after a very positive loan spell start. The Englishman found it hard to get a place in Kenny Dalglish’s side but he has now played 6 games for Lille so far and he managed to score his first goal for the club last week with a fabulous shot from long range.

“I could join Lille permanently. If they are happy with me, and vice versa, I don’t see why not.

“Lille have quality players, and there’s an unbeatable mood in the dressing room. I benefit from it every day and I am enjoying myself. There is a superb team spirit at the club. I love playing here.”

The transfer to Lille could be a great move for Joe Cole who was unable to find his spot in Kenny Dalglish’s team, and who will find it even tougher now with all the transfers the club made in the summer. Lille wants him and he performs great, he has the chance to play Champions League football, so I don’t see why he shouldn’t choose Lille over Liverpool. At the moment the French team is the much better option.

Ah, what an eye catching headline. Joe Cole wants to Dump Liverpool! I think teams dump players that don’t work out for them, players don’t dump teams.

I think he is also under contract, so he can want to do and go all he likes, it’s up to Liverpool whether he moves anywhere.

I like Joe Cole, and I’m glad it’s going well for him, and I hope it leads to a move which I think is best for him and Liverpool, because it has not worked out for him at Liverpool.

Stories like this will not lead to an amicable parting.
