It looks like Chelsea and Spurs are going to lose out on Genoa’s prolific striker Diego Milito, as his agent, Fernando Hidalgo, says that there is a “special relationship” with Inter Milan.
Hidalgo was in London last week to talk with representatives of the Premier League clubs, and although he will not discuss details with Milito until the end of the season, he seems sure that Inter will be the likely destination.
“He has had a lot of requests and he has already shown his value,” Hidalgo said yesterday.
“I had a meeting with Inter yesterday where I’ve got an official interest for him, but the player is still under contract with Genoa.
“It is an important phase of the Italian League and for this reason we don’t want to disturb my client’s mind by talking now of numbers, sums and contracts.
“I agreed with Inter officials that at the end of the league we will have to meet to define the details. Milito would be a good help for Ibrahimovic.”
Hidalgo added. “Anyway, I must say there are other sides who have spoken with me: other Italian and foreign clubs. But it’s normal with Inter there is a privileged relationship.”
