Inter Milan ready to stun Arsenal with a massive £35 Million bid

Reports out of Italy are claiming that Inter Milan have put Arsenal striker Robin van Persie at the top of their wish list and could even make a bid for the Dutchman as early as January.

It is no secret that van Persie has not signed an extension to his contract and this has of course alerted Europe’s top clubs and with van Persie in such hot form at the moment it really was only going to be a matter of time before one of Europe’s big clubs made a bid for the 28 year old.

Inter know full well that Arsene Wenger is determined to keep a hold of van Persie, but as with Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasris it really comes down to what the player wants and while-ever van Persie refuses to sign an extension there remains a very strong possibility that van Persie will be sold, either in January or in the Summer.

A fee of £35 Million is being reported and that will tempt Arsenal, van Persie may be on a hot streak at the moment, but he turns 29 in the Summer and his value will only go down from that point onwards, it certainly would not rise.

The days of van Persie at Arsenal could come to an end sooner than want the Arsenal faithful had hoped for.

Interesting, can I ask how many decades are they(inter) proposing to spread the payments over,as the whole country is skint.I wish the so called sports journalists would stop treating the population like idiots.

There`s a couple of problems with your little piece.
There`s no ready made replacement for Robin, if he were sold on. Even using the money to buy a replacement would leave Arsenal bare of strike options.

Your reasoning that his value will only drop once he reaches 29 is unsound, to say the least. And a fee of 35m pounds is far too high for a player with only 2 full seasons of football to his name, also.

So using that logic, those reports are most probably wrong.
