Hibs sold Steven Fletcher to Burnley yesterday, and manager John Hughes will be wasting no time in using the money to strengthen his team, according to this article in the Daily Express: Hibs manager John Hughes will use the funds from the Fletcher deal to try to bring in Alan Gow and Anthony Stokes.
Hughes is a big fan of the pair, who both starred for him at Falkirk, and is aware they are out of favour at Rangers and Sunderland respectively.
Hibs could all but cover Gow’s wages from Rangers, while Sunderland would have to subsidise the majority of Stokes’ salary.
Hughes will have to turn his attentions elsewhere for a goalkeeper as Dani Mallo has rejected his offer and has a deal lined up in Belgium.
Will Hibs be in trouble next season without Fletcher in the team?
