It seems that the Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is set to strengthen the Anfield defence in January with the arrival of the Ghanain defender Samuel Inkoom.
The Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk defender has been reported to have interested Chelsea as well as Liverpool, but according to the player himself it seems that Kenny Dalglish is set to win the race for his signature.
Inkoom was quoted as saying in the Metro: “My agent is still locked in talks with my club and a scout of Liverpool and very soon a deal could be concluded.”
“Nothing has been decided yet on whether I will join Liverpool on loan or move permanently.
“Liverpool is one of the biggest names in football and so if everything goes well and the Lord allows it, everyone will see where I am going and hopefully, it will be Liverpool, which will be a big step up for me.”
As well as having played in Switzerland and Russia, the versatile defender has also ammassed 25 appearances for Ghana, so is certainly not inexperienced. He is young and strong and could help Liverpool become even more formidable in second half of the season.
