Manchester City and England midfielder Gareth Barry has called on his egotistical team mates to “keep their focus” and not ruin what could be a great season for the blue half of the city.
There have been well publicised outbursts from Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli, James Milner and Eden Dzeko in recent weeks, and only last week keeper Joe Hart was defending Wayne Rooney after he got sent-off for England! I think Hart must have been watching a different game from the rest of us.

Barry has said, “It’s important that players keep their focus and not get too disappointed when they’re not playing. Everyone has got to stay together and be patient. That’s going to be the key to success this season. When their chance does come, it’s important they take it.”
At last someone is speaking some sense from the Etihad Stadium, but Barry has started eight of City’s 10 games so far this season so it is easy for him to say. It will be interesting to see if he throws the toys out of the pram in the coming weeks and months when he is not required by boss Roberto Mancini
