One man who was intent on impressing potential suitors more than most in Saturday’s Premier League fixtures was Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy. The French international has been drawing attention from the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle according to a report in the Sunday Mirror, but it is his opponent from last evening, Arsenal, who Remy himself hopes to join.
Remy and his Queens Park Rangers side might have fired blanks last night, but the 26 year old versatile forward will hope that he has shown enough of his skill over the last few months in England to impress potential suitors as he plots an early departure from the relegated London club.
A fee believed to be in the region of £6 million should be enough to lure the striker away from Loftus Road, and Arsenal and many a top club in England will surely consider lodging a bid for the player as they look to shore up their attack next season.
Arsenal meanwhile remain Remy’s “dream destination” according to the newspaper report, but it remains to be seen if Arsene Wenger looks for the value for money deal or opts to sign a better class of players.
