The Groningen striker scored twice against the England U21 side this week and his talents have not gone unnoticed. A report in todays Daily Mirror said: Everton are tracking £5million Sweden’s under-21 striker Marcus Berg after his heroics in the current tournament.
Berg scored seven goals in four games during the tournament and David Moyes is considering making a move.
The Groningen star, who has also attracted interest from AZ Alkmaar and Ajax, is in demand after a prolific last two seasons when he netted 33 times in 57 appearances for the Dutch side. Berg says it is his dream to play in the Premier League.
Everton are bound to face competition from other big European sides, but as he speaks English it is thought he is more likely to move to a Premiership club. If he could be bought for just £5m it could be the bargain of the year. Would you want your team to buy him?
