The Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe is very upset that Harry Redknapp has not given him much playing time this season, and has threatened to move on if he is not a first-choice name on the Spurs teamsheet.
Defoe insists that he still loves playing for Tottenham, but unless he is given assurances by Redknapp he will be looking for another club that appreciates his skills. Considering that he has only scored four times in the League this season, surely he can’t be surprised that Redknapp has left him out of the team?

But Defoe made his feeling quite clear when he told Sky: “I want to help the club achieve things, win trophies and get in the Champions League, but when you feel like you are working hard, training hard and being professional, and then for some reason you are not playing, it is difficult,”
‘It is frustrating. At the end of the day I am ambitious. I want to play in every game and score goals, especially when you score goals for a fantastic club like Tottenham.
“I have always been like that from the first day I walked through the door and I truly believe that if I am playing games I will score goals. I think my record shows that.
“It has been really, really hard to be honest. Players come and go, that is just football and it is out of my hands.”
“If you speak to any of the players and the fans, they will tell you that I am committed to the club,”.
“I love the club and I still get the same buzz that I did when I first walked out at White Hart Lane, which is important.
“But for me the main thing is playing football and if I am not playing football then I am not happy, because I love my football.”
Redknapp has also made it clear that a new striker is top of his list this summer, so I’m sure that he won’t be upset if his currently misfiring frontmen leave the Lane during the transfer window. It is unlikely that Defoe is going to be happy being second (or third) string to the new hitman?

Defoe has hardly played, and Spurs have hardly scored. Not exactly rocket science is it?
Start fecking scoring then you tw@t
So start scoring and maybe, just maybe you`ll be at WHL for next season? Although, imho, I think it is too late for him and his days are numbered.
Then Leave!!! we can’t go through another season with strikers like you Defoe. You and the other useless pair who play upfront have cost us Champions league football so sod off!
