The Everton manager David Moyes is preparing for a trip to Fulham on Sunday and their opponents have returned from a gruelling trip to Krackow on Thursday in the Europa Cup.
Obviously Fulham may be a little bit more tired from such a game, but Moyes would welcome that pressure at Everton with open arms. He said: “It can be tough, but I’d take it today if you gave it to me,”
“I’d love it to be us when we are talking about playing Thursday and then Sunday, because here at Everton we need European football.
“We want it, and it is something I think we would desperately love to get back.
“We have not been in it for the last couple of years now. Yes, it was awkward and makes things difficult and your job a bit harder, but I would rather have it than not have it.”
That makes a change from the attitude of managers like Harry Redknapp, who considers it an inconvenience and sends his reserves out for Europa Cup games. But for Everton to get there they will have to start winning more games, starting with Fulham on Sunday!
Everton needs a world class striker. why not a German striker? I have never seen a German player playing for Everton since i am a die heart Everton FC as well as German football team. Remember i am an Everton supportyer since 1977. I am waiting impatiently for glories which has slipped since 1995
