The Everton manager David Moyes was very happy with the contribution of Landon Donovan when he came to Goodison Park on loan two seasons ago, and he has confirmed that he is still keen on bringing the LA Galaxy striker back this season.
Everton are finding goals hard to come by this season, and Moyes agreed that he would find a place for Donovan in the team if he returned for another three-month loan period.
He said: “Possibly, depending on how he (Donovan) sees where he is physically. We need to see where he is.
“Last year, he felt as though he’d played too much (for him not to come). It’s something we will probably try and look to see if there’s an interest. He was popular here, and we could do with some speed and width on the right.
“It wouldn’t be something we’d be against, that’s for sure. It’s unrealistic to sign him on a permanent deal, though.”
Everton have finally managed to win a couple of games after their usual shaky start to the season, and have moved up to 9th place, but they could always use another exciting player like Donovan…..
