Marca has nothing to do with Real Madrid Or the the fans marca and its journalists are in the middle of a dispute between them and the fans. We want Pellegrini and Higuain to stay all we need are replacements for Raul (Villa), Guti (Silva), a Left Back(Felipe Luis from Deportivo), a goalkeeper (probably diego alves from almeria or adan from the cantera) and a CB to replace Metzelder

Yeah. Right? Real Madrid wouldn't have AW as first choice if they could.

Maybe 'Marca' have finally taken the hint that when AW says 'sod off' he means 'sod off'.

Machester City - please don't forget that history holds no good in their case - thanks to the oil obsceneties. So Spurs and City would make or break our season. Not just their matches against us but with ManU and Chelsea as well.

I love stories like this and how all the arsenal fans come crawling out of the woodwork to ridicule Spurs. 3pt Lane this and that and how they are SOOOOOOO much better and need not worry blah blah blah.

As the article says, you have won 1 in your last 6 there (and a draw could be enough to derail you)

Also, you should wake up and see the big picture. 7/8 yrs ago (what a long time) you were winning titles and Spurs were mid table. Since 2005 (your last silverwear) Spurs have actually won something and finished closer to you. They are getting better, and you are getting worse...it just a matter of time.

The ONLY reason you are still in it is because Chelsea and Man U have been worse than you at critical times this season.

You will finish 3rd, ONE whole place above where Spurs probably will finish.

I would like to remind the author of this article that even if Arsenal drop 4-5 points..you failed to mention that the other 2 contenders will drop just as much if not more.... I would be surprised to see Chelsea or Man u not drop points.. Hellooooo???? playing an in- form Liverpool, Chelsea, Villa, Man city???? and they wont drop points!!
so yes, my assumption is all top 3 teams will drop at least 3-6 points minimum, not just Arsenal.. (Arsenal being the one that drop only 3) .. great ending to this year titale race!!

Simply as a topic for thought. Should Benitez be replaced then Mourinho would siut Anfield well. I could see a rapport between these expressive fans and he , always did when he was in charge at Chelsea . I think he could be just the ideal man to start thrashing those other clubs in the Premiership with his mix of the undoubted talent that is around Melwood/Anfield . Just a thought......

dave and chris you are just pathetic people favouring gerrard for what he has done yesterday.. no wonder its people like you in the press who cant do justice with this respectable and supposdly honest proffession.. how many times you see a defending player blocking the way of attacker to stop him touching the ball. as far as wenger is concerned he said the same thing when asked about botengs poke in the eye and grabing hand like a 4year old kid. he said the same thing.. HE DID'NT SEE. he could made an issue.. encourage honesty not hypocrisy plzz people..

boatengs tackle was studs up on sagnas knee! that should have bn a straight red card as tackles like that can end careers. btw how was campbells tackle a foul??? if anyone can explain id love to hear it, especially considering he won the ball. also gary lineker and alan shearer called it a PERFECT tackle on MOTD which is exactly what it was

Anyone watching the Campbell tackle could see how dangerous it was,

He flew in from the side, studs up and if he never slipped would have had two feet of the ground.

The fact that no leg was broken is immaterial, the minute you fly in like that it becomes dangerous

Because Campbell got the ball does not get away from the fact that the tackle was dangerous

I respect Arsenal and their fans but if you ask for others to treat you fair then treat others fair also,

Using the excuse that Campbell hit the ball first and so on is disingenous, look at the video again, look at Campbells angle and speed.

Was very dangerous in my opinion

Are you kidding me mate? Are you talking about the Sol Campbell tackle where he gets the ball first and then the player (after whichs he goes off injured)? As all of the commentators could agree on, it was a perfect tackle. He slides in blocking the ball with his body, and granted the Hull player gets stopped in the middle of his kick (which can be very dangerous) but it is in no way intentional. On the other hand, Boateng had already conducted himself unsportingly, by shoving his hands in an opponents face outside of play, before he blatenly misses the ball and winds up with studs on the knee of Sagna, while weight is put on the leg i question. That is a career ending tackle if it hits home. My argument is that within the rules Sol has a legitimate reason to make the tackle as he does, it is the way you slidetackle from the side. In no way, and under no circumstances are you allowed to stamp you studs downward in the height of an opponents knee. Studs that high should by the letter of the law warrant an immediate red card, it is a mystery how that was only yellow, but then again maybe not considering the general line of the ref.
And on a completely diffrent note, how about the little trick Fagan pulled on Sagna at the start of the match, where he ran past him from behind, grabbed Sagnas head in his armpit and pulled him down. The linesman looked to be staring directly at it but no foul was given or card shown.
At the end of the day I can only conclude that karma played its part this weekend. Hull tried to go for the classic "rough up Arsenal, then they will hesitate and make mistakes", but instead it backfired on them and earned them a red card and an injury. Fair as fair can be.
As an ending I do encourage all Hull (or other) fans to counter these arguments, and perhaps affect my grim outlook so it doesnt look entirely as a good old dirty conspiracy. Cheers

Chris Duigan's comment that nothing was said about the fact that Brown deliberately ran in front of Gerrard is perfectly valid, and that was obstruction ! And if anyone watches a replay of the game they will find that Brown committed numerous other similar actions throughout the game!!!Yes Gerrard did use his forearm to push Brown out of the way - but the free kick should have been awarded the other way!
