It has been reported today that Pep Guardiola is desperate to get Chelsea’s Ashley Cole to the Nou Camp next season as he considers the England stalwart as the best left-back in the world, and it seems Andre Villas-Boas is willing to let him go.
The Mirror reports that Villas-Boas has set his eye on the Porto left-back Alvaro Pereira, and as he is keen to build his own team at Stamford Bridge he is willing to let Cole leave for just £12 million at the end of this season.

AVB’s old club have put a £30 million buy out clause in Pereira’s contract to put Chelsea off, but it seems that AVB is still determined to see him in his team whatever the cost.
There have been numerous rumours about Cole wishing to move to Spain to rekindle his romance with his (ex) wife Cheryl, so perhaps there is a real possibility this will happen, especially as the Barcelona board are willing to do anything to keep Pep Guardiola at the club. So if Pep wants Cole, Barca will get him!

Nonsense. Chelsea turned down way bigger bids in the summer and won’t sell to a club we detest for less than we need to replace just about the only World class English player there is today. English players carry a premium for Chelsea as homegrown so this is bollox.
