Very big game with a lot to depend on it’s outcome. If Chelsea wins then it’s a dual race between them and Man Utd for the title, while Arsenal will probably be guaranteed to finish 3rd unless they really hit the dust.
A draw serves United best as they keep the top spot, albeit on goal difference, and Arsenal will still be left behind by a mile or two.
Should the Gunners win though, it’s back to the 3-horses race, with only 4 points to separate the current leaders (United) from Arsenal, who would still be at 3rd but in a much better position to rejoin the title race seriously.
Arsenal also have an additional motive, which is to end Chelsea’s winning run over them. The Gunners lost their last 3 H2H vs Chelsea and all were at the Emirates.
However, Arsenal did win here at the Bridge last season, so it’s not impossible to do it again, although it would be a very hard task.
Chelsea were as good as Hull in their midweek game in which they only managed to draw by a goal each. I expect the blues to try and make up for that slip, but if you can’t keep it up against Hull I’m afraid I cannot be confident enough in them when they play Arsenal.
Then there’s this matter of Terry being stripped off the England squad captaincy. I’m not sure how he will respond, but I trust Terry to be the tough guy who can put aside his personal issues for the team.
Ashley Cole makes a comeback to play against his former club, and Obi Mikel could also play, but still no Essien or Bosingwa.
Arsenal are set to once again be without Eduardo. Van Persie, Djourou, Vela, Gibbs and Merida are the usual absentees, but Walcott is fit enough and –of course- Fabregas and Arshavin, this trio will most certainly provide a tough challenge to Cech and his defense line.
Overall, I am looking forward to a 3-horse race at the top of the table till the very last day, so naturally I am on Arsenal this time around, but safer to back them on the handicap. Over 2.5 goals is a given IMHO.
Picks:
Arsenal +0.5 A.H. @ 2.11 w/ Pinnacle
Over 2.5 goals @ 1.96 w/ Pinnacle

U know we are goin 2 win dis. There is a strong fèeling within just watch and see
I am a strong supporter of Man U and my second team is Arsernal. What disturbs me with Arsernal fans particularly in Uganda is calling Arsernal players . This attitude tends to be universal and must be discouraged strongly because a moment a player enters the field you are taken as an adult. Please Arsernal fans style up. In the meantime Iam totally supporting you tonite and pray thatyou win. Cheers Arsernal. Chelsea zee.
