Chelsea still going for Dzeko

According to the Mirror today, Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is still trying to convince Wolfsburg to sell their prolific striker Dzeko, despite the player signing a one-year extension on his contract, which has deterred AC Milan from continuing their interest.

The article says: Chelsea are ready to test Wolfsburg’s resolve to keep goal sensation Edin Dzeko.

New Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti Italian has already put out feelers to see if the German champions will sell their £20million-rated Bosnian striker.

Dzeko, 23, scored 26 goals last term as Wolfsburg won the Bundesliga for the first time in the club’s history.

And Ancelotti, set to unveil Daniel Sturridge and Yuri Zhirkov next week, has money to spend if he finds the right targets.

I am not convinced that this one is true. Wolfsburg have made it clear they won’t sell, and Chelsea are not going to do a Real Madrid and offer £50m to make them change their minds! But, if they COULD get him, would Chelsea fans be happy?
