The Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has spoken to the press and has expressed his support for Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas, who has faced some requests calling for his sack with regard to the Stamford Bridge club’s poor run in the Champions League and Premier League. Amidst all these calls, Rooney has pleaded with the fans for patience with their new boss.
“There’s a lot of people saying he should be sacked, that Chelsea should make another change,” Rooney told The Sun.
“There’s no need to do that, I cannot see the point in that at all.
“I must admit I’ve been surprised by Chelsea’s problems because in the last few years they’ve always been so solid, so hard to score against and so very difficult to beat.
“This season that hasn’t been the case but they’ve a new manager and a new way of playing which will take time to settle.
“For me the best option is to keep faith and keep your manager.”
Rooney’s comments come after a string of players who have come to voice their support for the under-pressure coach. After former Chelsea player Michael Ballack’s belief that Chelsea will return to their winning ways again, current Blues’ goalkeeper Petr Cech’s declaration of support also shows that Villas-Boas does have the support of his players. Managers have also started showing support for Villas-Boas, as Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Chelsea are still considered title challengers and are still viewed as a threat whenever the 2 teams meet.
Chelsea have not been performing well of late, with back-to-back defeats to Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen. Thankfully, yesterday’s 3-0 victory over Wolves brought about much relief to the Blues’ camp, and it could be the start of Chelsea’s resurgence. Goals from Captain John Terry, striker Daniel Sturridge and winger Juan Manuel Mata settled the contest just before half-time. Yesterday’s victory was a timely morale booster for the Blues’, who will be facing a daunting task against Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup.
Villas-Boas is after all considered a newcomer to the Barclays Premier League, and he certainly deserves more time to get his tactics right and settle down. With support from the fans, there is no doubt that he will get the club up and going again and bring back excellence to Chelsea.

According to wayne rooney, leave avb as blues manager because this is the seventh coach since abramovich era, due to chelsea match defeat it does’t mean that it should be sacked, so bruce buck ‘ve reach an agreement that he should stay in chelsea for at least 15 years as chelsea coach. Up Blues.
I’m in support of Rooney’s comment,dt AVB should be given some time, coz sacking him is not the best option for now. Good time will surely comes our way n let exercise patient.
