The highly rated PSG midfielder Stephane Sessegnon is looking for a move this summer after being disappointed that his manager Paul Le Guen was sacked last month.
He was seriuosly charsed by Arsenal before he signed for PSG, and Liverpool and Chelsea have had scouts watching his impressive performances in Ligue 1 this season, and according to this mornings News of the World, are going to try and persuade Sessegnon to move to the Premier League.
Sessegnon was asked yesterday if he would be staying with PSG, and he replied: “I want to play in an ambitious team. PSG have done well this season and it must carry on. I want to know what the club plans to do next season.
“That’s why I’m not going to say that I am staying 100 per cent. I know how it will come across if I then decide to leave.”
Just a few weeks ago, his agent, Rudy Raba, said: “Stephane is really sad with the departure of coach Paul Le Guen.
“However, it should not be decisive for his future. It is up to PSG to show they are ambitious.
“If this is the case, he will stay with pleasure, otherwise…
“Paris have not received any official offers so far. Stephane is on the short-list of the biggest Italian, Spanish, German and English sides, notably Chelsea.”
