Carlos Tevez might still have a future at Manchester City according to Roberto Mancini, who named the Argentine in his 25-man squad for the rest of the Premier League season. Tevez seemed to have burned all the bridges with the club and Mancini with his actions since that infamous night in Munich. But Mancini admitted that if he could prove his fitness the striker’s place at the club could once again be under consideration. The striker would have to return from Argentina first for that to even be a possibility.
“Carlos is not an option at the moment but it is possible in the future if he comes back. I hope for him he has been training in the last three months to help his condition,” said the Italian.
With the player and the club stuck with each other until the summer after their failure to seal a transfer in the winter, they might be looking to make the best of the situation. Tevez broke his silence earlier this week, blaming Manchester City for his failure to find a new club.
The Premier league leaders though could use with a striker of his quality as they go into the final leg of the season. And Mancini’s latest move appears to be his attempt at a peace offering, however, it remains to be seen if Tevez is willing to get off his high horse and open discussions for a possible return.
