Nicklas Bendtner played the leading role in Arsenal’s 5-0 emphatic win over FC Porto last night. The Dane scored a brace to put his side 2-0 ahead before half-time, before he completed his hat-trick in the 2nd half, but he reckons he can forget about it now and start thinking about the upcoming games.
“Every time I play a game I put it behind me as soon as it’s finished,” he told Sky Sports 2.
“Sometimes it’s one of those days and today I put it right.
“I’m happy with my hat-trick but we move on.
“It was good to score early but I don’t know if that affected my game.
“It will give us a lot of confidence,
“We want to win the Champions League. It’s something we haven’t done.”
Arsenal fans and critics alike can now forget about the below-par performance Bendtner offered in the weekend vs Burnley. If the striker can maintain his form of last night, Arsenal certainly do have a shot at both the EPL and the CL titles this season.
