Arsenal star turns down Inter Milan move

The Arsenal ex-captain William Gallas has been strongly linked with a move to Inter Milan recently, but in an article in SkySports he has announced he will be staying with Arsene Wengers team: William Gallas has told skysports.com he is looking forward to next season at Arsenal amid reports he could join Inter Milan.

The French defender has endured a difficult time at the Gunners since signing from Chelsea in 2006.

Last season Gallas had the captain’s armband taken off him, leading to reports that a summer exit could be in the offing.

Inter, where former Blues boss Jose Mourinho currently manages, are said to be interested in the centre-back.

Of the speculation, Gallas told skysports.com: “I am at Arsenal, my contract is still valid for a year, so I am an Arsenal player.

“We have not talked about renewing the contract, but I am relaxed and looking forward to next season with Arsenal.”

Would Arsenal fans prefer Gallas to go or not?

Response to Gallas turning down Inter Millan approach.

Let me point out here thet Williams’ been an exra-ordinary proffessional. He made mistakes the other time(everyone does), but his attitude and humility after is worthy of emulation and speaks clearly his leadership quality.
William’s has been my hero(a leader with a servanthood mindset). If only i can speak with William or betterstill meet with him , i would be one of the happiest man on earth. He’s my kind of defender – fearless, rugged, calculative, fast thinker, a goal-getter, a true leader with a genuine passion for being the servant while in service. I love u man and i wish all the very best this coming season. Olamilekan Oladeinde: mobile line(0803 323 5765), from Lagos, Nigeria.
