Arsenal and Barcelona are locked in talks to try and find an agreement to allow the Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas to return home, and it is being reported this morning that Arsene Wenger is demanding that the Spanish giants make up the cash shortfall by sending another promising midfielder to the Emirates as part exchange.
The Metro has revealed that Wenger wants the extremely talented Spanish U21 international Thiago Alcantara as part of the deal, despite the 20 year-old only signing a new four-year contract earlier this year.

Wenger is hoping that Alcantara will realise that the arrival of Fabregas will limit the youngster’s chances of stepping up to the Barca first-team next season, and he is much more likely to have a regular starting spot at Arsenal.
It would certainly make sense for Alcantara as he has only made 14 appearances for Barca in his two seasons at the club, but he has played 23 times for the Spain U19 and U21 teams in the same time period!
This kind of exchange deal is good for Fab. Bcs AW is not going to buy replacement for Fab. So exchange deal will give at least one good player for Arsenal.
