Well it seems a far cry for the man who once managed Italian giants and newly crowned Serie A champions AC Milan, and who has just recently been sacked by Premier League giants Chelsea after two seasons at the West London club.
It seemed certain that Ancelotti would return to Italy, with Roma seeking his services, but now it seems that Ancelotti is quite ready to join QPR and adamant he wants to stay in London closer to his West London home, and you can’t get closer than Loftus Road.
The 51 year old manager, who had an established playing career in midfield with Parma, Roma and Milan from where he retired from as a player 1992, and in1995 managed his first club Reggina for one season before managing Parma – a former club, he then after a couple of seasons went on to manage Juventus before his most successful and longest spell as a manager with AC Milan, where he left in 2009 to manage in the Premier League with Chelsea.
QPR themselves are lucky to be in the Premier League after an FA investigation involving the signing of Alejandro Faurlin, threatened to deduct points from them and put their promotion into jeopardy, however they were found guilty of two out of the seven charges, and received a fine of £875.000, but with no points deduction their promotion was secured.
QPR would seem an interesting choice for the Italian, and would present him with a challenge to get the newly promoted club to compete against the giants of the Premier League, although with a manager of his stature it would give the Loftus Road faithful a huge boost before the season even starts. Lucky QPR!

What a load of rubbish.
If Ancelotti takes over the reigns at QPR, I’ll eat my hat.
Two things about this article, 1) there’s absolutely no source or quotes for the claim that Ancelotti wants to manage QPR-this seems to be pure specultaion, and 2) QPR are NOT lucky to be in the Premier League, they were found not guilty of any of the charges which warranted a points deduction by an independant enquiry.
You really have no idea what you are talking about. Have you got nothing better to write about?
Why do you dick heads keep printing this crap.Neal Warnock is going nowhere so get over it.
Why would we want to swap our most successful manager since El Tel for a Chelsea reject. Has this ‘story’ been put together because of our Italian link and the fact that Ancelotti lives locally? How many times do our current board have to quash all these stories? Write something more newsworthy but there again, why let the facts get in the way!
So because Ancelotti has a house in London – that means he’s ‘keen’ on the QPR job!?
This is a rubbish non-story, spouting so-called rumours doing the rounds on other sites weeks ago.
No way I’d want Ancelotti instead of Warnock – and, as others have said, there simply isn’t a job available.
I’m with all of you chaps! I can’t believe how many times the media are going to ignore the fact that every member of the QPR board has stated – more than once – that Neil Warnock isn’t leaving!!
No Rangers fan on earth would want a brilliant, passionate English manager that turned our club from relegation candidates into out and out Championship winners in 14 months for a bumbling, monotonous, useless Italian!
Fine, he may have done the job back home but I’m afraid the Premiership is a different kettle of fish. Warnock’s never had the chance to manage a team with a bit of financial backing in the Prem, and I for one am pretty excited about what he can achieve this time round!
Dan’s right as well, how dare this ‘journalist’ call us lucky! Lucky that we only lost a handful of games all season? Lucky our goal difference was vastly superior to anyone else? I think not. In fact I now believe we were never very much in danger and that the media, once again, took things all out of proportion to make a story – stuff the fans, players and club. We’re back where we belong and we bloody deserve it after a brilliant season!
