According to an “exclusive” report in todays Mirror, the Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso will finally be allowed to leave, and Benitez will get Alvaro Negredo as part of the deal. Spanish midfield star Alonso wants to join Madrid’s new Galacticos in a £32million move, but Kop chief Benitez has been holding out for more – and is now being offered £10m-rated Negredo.
The 23-year-old has been a major success during two seasons on loan at Almeria in La Liga, top scoring with 13 and then 19 goals.
He was hoping to get a shot at playing for Real – only to find out there are bigger names filling the shirts.
Now he has emerged as the key player in the deal, with Benitez considering taking him to play with Fernando Torres in his Anfield attack.
Negredo should be strong enough for the Premier. His nickname is the ‘wild animal’ because of his robust style. Benitez would rather pick his own players, but the Real reserve could be the answer.
Alonso has made his feelings about a move known with heavy hints in the media and to pals.

If this is true then 32 million plus Negredo looks like a good deal for Liverpool! Even if Rafa didn’t want Negredo there are at least 2 other teams that would pay at least 10 million for him making Alonso worth at least 42 million for Liverpool. 42 million would help buy new players and pay the bills.

Lads! Negredo is top quality no doubt about it, He is very similar to Torres and go to youtube and check him out. Xabi wants out so get rid now and we get maybe Arjen Robben and Negredo plus cash?, We can replace a defensive midfielder easily. Rafa will screw Madrid to the wall on this deal for sure and we will come out of it in good shape, No need to worry unduly!!!!!!!!!
Alonso if wants to leave, than let him go. Nobody is bigger than LFC. Make profit by selling both Mash and Alonso. Rafa knows better to replace this two with much better players.
